This afternoon, visit the Ancient City of Pergamon (UNESCO), where you'll take a short cable car ride up to the acropolis to enjoy commanding views of the valley below and a tour of the Greek ruins. End the day in Izmir (known as Smyrna in antiquity), Turkey's 3rd most populous city and your home for the next two nights.
