Day 1 - Quito
Bienvenidos! Welcome to one of the most breathtaking cities in the world- Quito! The city sits high up at nearly 9,500 ft above sea level Kick off your adventure as you connect with your local leader and fellow travelers at a welcome meeting this evening.
Day 2 - Quito to Baltra Island and Santa Cruz Island
Today you will head to Baltra Island — your first island of the Galápagos. Upon arrival, meet your local leader (a licensed Naturalist Guide) who will guide you to Santa Cruz. Visit the Giant Tortoise Reserve to observe these magnificent animals. Then head to Puerto Ayora and visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. The evening is yours to explore.
Day 3 - Santa Cruz Island to Isabela Island
Hop aboard a speed boat today as you head to Isabela Island, where you will visit Las Tintoreras. You have an opportunity to go snorkeling in this spot teeming with marine iguanas and the rare Galápagos penguin.
Day 4 - Isabela Island
Today visit the Sierra Negra Volcano to view the second largest crater in the world. A short hike up the rocks provides spectacular views. Then, enjoy time unscripted to relax or explore the island on your own.
Day 5 - Isabela Island to Santa Cruz Island
Return to Santa Cruz by boat this morning and visit Tortuga Bay, a gorgeous white-sand beach considered to be the most beautiful in the entire archipelago. Soak up the rest of the day with some bird watching, kayaking, snorkeling, surfing or just exploring.
Day 6 - Santa Cruz Island to San Cristobal Island
Your next visit is to San Cristobal Island, to visit the Interpretation Center. Enjoy a leisurely hike up Cerro Tijeretas (Frigate Bird Hill) for amazing views. This afternoon, you can enjoy snorkeling with sea lions and sea turtles in La Loberia Bay.
Day 7 - San Cristobal Island
After a short boat ride to Kicker Rock and Lobos Island, you will have the opportunity to spot nesting frigates and blue-footed boobies.
Day 8 - San Cristobal Island to Quito
Your last day in the Galápagos starts with a visit to El Junco Lake, an ancient crater formed during the last ice age. You will return to Quito this afternoon.
Day 9 - Quito
Our Galápagos adventure ends today after breakfast.
